Configuring iMac, iBook, G3, G4

  1. Click on the Apple.

  2. Select Control Panel.

  3. Select TCP/IP.

  4. Make sure that, "Connect via PPP" is selected.

  5. In the bottom left corner you should see a box for Name Server Addresses. Type in 159.250.24.7 then press return on your keyboard to get to the next line and type in 159.250.24.8

  6. On the bottom right hand side you should have a box for Search Domains. Type in valinet.com.

  7. Close out of TCP/IP and save the changes.

  8. Click on the Apple.

  9. Select Control Panel.

  10. Select Remote Access.

  11. Enter your username. Note: make sure you have username@valinet.com, username@noho.com, or username@westmass.com, depending on what you have chosen with us.

  12. Enter your password.

  13. Put in one of our 56K access numbers.

  14. Click on Options.

  15. Go to Protocol.

  16. Make sure "Connect automatically when starting PPP applications", is checked off.

  17. Press OK.

  18. Close out of Remote Access and save the changes.

  19. Your Dial-up connection should be all set.

  20. You must now configure your e-mail.

  21. To connect to the Internet, just double click on Internet Explorer or Netscape, whichever you decide to use.
